Keyword creamy croissant, french breakfast

Instructions:

Note: if you’re using an oven to melt the cheese, pre-heat it at 190ºC.

1. In a saucepan, add milk, chopped onion, bay leaf and cloves with a pinch of salt and bring to a boil.

2. Remove from heat and leave to infuse for 20 minutes.

3. Melt the butter in another saucepan, then gradually add the flour. Stir continuously until you make a roux (paste).

4. Strain the milk and it to the roux gradually, stirring as you go, until you get a smooth sauce. Cook for 7-10 minutes, stirring continuously, until the sauce has thickened.

5. Cut the croissants in half and add the sliced ham, grated cheese and béchamel sauce. Optional: add extra cheese on top of the croissants.

6. Place them in the airfryer for 3 minutes at 180ºC or pre-heated oven for ~5 minutes at 190ºC, or until the cheese melted.

7. Serve immediately. Bon appétit!
